Have a good clean Halloween!
10/14/2014

Trails of crushed and gooey candy found their way onto every surface. Pumpkin entrails are caked on the front porch. That brightly colored, neon-green witch's brew seemed like a fantastic idea, but now you're stuck with spots and stains. ATM understands the aftermath of a crazy Halloween can look (and feel) much like a horror movie scene. Undoing the mess is possible and the sooner you get to work, the faster the mess will disappear. Here are some tips to make your cleaning horrors disappear!

Pumpkin: In retrospect, carving up this festive squash on some old newspaper sounds way smarter now. However what's done is done, and now you need to pick up your pumpkin innards. Don't attempt to scrape up the dried orange aftermath, instead, put a puddle of water on the mess- let it sit 15 to 20 minutes without drying- pumpkin will come right off!

Pranks: Been the victim of neighborhood mischief? For toilet paper use a stick wrapped in duct tape to reach the strands in trees, your roof, and any other obscure places those hooligans managed to teepee. Pick up eggshells before hosing off cars or porches where pranksters left their mark. If egg residue remains stuck to surfaces, place a cloth soaked in half water, half vinegar on the area and let sit it for about 15 minutes before wiping it down with another cloth.

Glitter and Confetti: While glitter and confetti are fun and a good idea at first, a few days, or maybe even weeks when you're still cleaning up the sparkly menace and finding bits of colorful paper everywhere, you may be rethinking your decision. Use a vacuum to suck up as much of it as you can, and oddly enough, rolled up Play-Doh will pick up glitter or confetti that you're having a hard time getting up off of the floors.
